Rushton Garden Works is a Brooklyn-based practice focused on the care and evolution of gardens over time. Working closely with each client’s vision, landscapes are shaped through observation, pruning, soil care, and planting that responds to the conditions already in place.
Growing up in rural Nova Scotia, I developed an early appreciation for plants and landscapes. After more than twenty years working as a fine art painter and set designer, I’ve shifted my focus toward horticulture and garden making.
I founded Rushton Garden Works to bring together my interests in design, craftsmanship, and living landscapes. Based in Brooklyn, I design, maintain, and prune residential gardens throughout New York City.
